Solo Project: Summer Evenings 2018
About the Album
This studio created album was the result of a singer/songwriter reaching out to a recording engineer with the challenge: “Hey, so, I’ve written these songs, can you help me find some musicians to play some parts?” Almost like magic, for each song that was pitched, an all star team was assembled and history was made. Jack Dunlap was recruited for mandolin as well as lead acoustic guitar on Wisdom and Summer Evenings. Malia Furtado graciously played fiddle on The Dance and Angel Fiddle. Cody Brown was brought in for percussion on The Dance, and Ozzy Strosnider was recruited for lap pedal steel guitar for Dont Make Me Lie To You. Jeremy Rodgers played his upright bass throughout the CD. Thanks so much to this amazing group of people for sharing their talents on this album!
This project went suspiciously well. It was a joy to grow these songs from the ground up and watch them bloom into what they are now. Also, fun fact, the first song that was recorded,"Wisdom", actually won first place in the 2017 Chautauqua Creative Writing Contest Songwriting Category.
This album is meant to be listened to in the car on your way to work as you drink your coffee, on your weekly jog through the woods, in the background as you clean your house, cook your breakfast, or weed your garden. “Life isn’t a support system for art. It’s the other way around.” -Stephen King. I feel the times I've been most inspired by music is when I'm in the middle of doing something and a song comes on that stops me in my tracks. Maybe these songs will do the same for you!

Slow Creek: If Only, 2015
About the Album
"If Only" was Slow Creek's first collaboration album as a band featuring Sandra Lyerly on vocals, Jeremy Rodgers on bass and Joe Martin on lead guitar.
This album is special to me because we were just 3 friends playing gigs, doing all the covers people wanted to hear, then we started pitching songs to each other. Suddenly we realized we had an album's worth, and the next thing you know "If Only" was born.
Slow Creek: Too Far Gone, 2013
About the Album
This album was my first ever ever ever project of this nature of any kind. It was a big deal in my life to take that step from being some girl who plays a guitar in her living room, to going to an actual recording studio and trying to join the big wigs of the music industry. The songs on here were collaborations with Mike Powell, of Green Room Recording in Front Royal Virginia. Also features a good friend, Timmy Mills, on banjo. God rest his soul. Timmy was one of the kindest most influential people in the Virginia bluegrass world and I am blessed to have known him.
I play trumpet on this, which is kinda cool. My best friend painted this picture of me when we were in grad school. I once was told to name my price for the ownership to Just Cause He's Sweet by a lady who's rich husband gave her play money. I said no at the time because I didn't know a thing in the world about anything. Fun Album!
